what3words teamed up with Land Rover to help adventure photographer Ben Horton capture the perfect shot in the Alabama Hills of California.

In 2022, Land Rover made what3words available in vehicles equipped with its Pivi Pro infotainment system. It was the first automaker – as part of Jaguar Land Rover – to roll out what3words’ offline capability via an over-the-air software update.

Drivers can type 3 words into their head unit to find and navigate to any precise location, including the most remote destinations.

What is what3words?
what3words has divided the world into a grid of 3 metre squares and given each square a unique address made of three random words. Entering a what3words address into a car’s infotainment system is the easiest way for drivers to get directions to precise locations – whether that’s a specific entrance, parking space or viewpoint.
